Hi everyone! I am always on the hunt for new and beautiful amazing murals/walls in any city I visit. I was so excited to get to take over #bottleandheels instagram stories this weekend and do a Live Insta Wall Crawl of some of my favorite walls. Below you’ll see some of my favorite spots around LA that make for some spectacular pix. As you’ll see the day didn’t go exactly as planned but sometimes you gotta roll with the punches and I still got some great pictures. ALSO I’ve included the locations and good times to visit each wall so you can get the best photo!
1. The New Girl In Town
Californian Dreaming – by Ricardo Gonalez
3485 La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016
**The wall faces east so for direct sun you want to get there before noon. It’s in a working parking lot so weekends are ideal to find the lot ‘car-free’ and get the pictures.
2. My Favorite
Cross Campus – Mural by David ‘MEGGS’ Hooke
929 Colorado Ave, Santa Monica, CA 90401
**The wall faces east so for direct sun you want to get there before noon.
3. Best Color Combo (denied by cyclivia:)
Council Thrift Shops – Mural by DJ Neff
12120 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066
**The wall faces west so late afternoon (ideally after the post office closes) is best for photos. ALSO watch out for the farmers market ever Sunday!
4. Oldie But Goodie
Art Center School Of Design – Mural by RISK
950 South Raymond Ave, Pasesdena, CA 91105
**This wall faces north so you never really get direct sun. I like visiting midday – you’ll be in shadow but the lighting is still good and always even. This location is in a parking lot and school takes place 7 days a week so you will probably have to deal with a few cars.
