Every year we see a series of beauty trends. Whether it’s a bold statement lip or dewy skin, we see the trend repeated on the runways, magazines or on the street. I’ve put together a series of hair and makeup looks from this year and my take on them. Below is a “how to” executed by my incredible hair and makeup team. Revlon Makeup Director Melanie Burnicle and Matrix ambassador Lores Giglio. The photography was taken by the insanely talented Carlo Fernandes.
The Golden Goddess
Glitter with slick bun
Eyes: Create your eye-line using Revlon ColorStay Creme Gel liner in black. Line the inner rim / waterline with Revlon ColorStay Creme Gel in black top and bottom. No skin showing just intense black drama. Use the gold glitter in the Revlon PhotoReady Eye Art in Desert Dazzle, and place form the black eye-line up to the brow bone. Revlon Mascara dramatic definition apply 2 coats to top lashes only. Apply false lashes and then apply another coat of mascara.
Lips: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Enchanting
Nails: Revlon top speed in ‘Hearts of Gold’
Step 1 – Wash hair with Matrix Biolage Exquisite Oil shampoo/conditioner to help soften and smooth hair cuticles.
Step 2 – Apply Matrix Shaping Oil Cream to smooth and add shine together, slicking the hair with a soft touch end result. Side part taking 2 sections, combing, twisting, and pinning the hair as you go, keeping the hair flat in the middle. Intertwining the sections flat across the head and finishing it off with Matrix Turbo Dryer all over so it’s a quick, wet, slick and shiny end result.
Session Tip – Use U pins not bobby pins on this whole shape.
